By far the best Last.fm integrated solution for iTunes/Apple Music ★★★★★
Neptunes has replaced multiple quick access iTunes controllers I have used in the past and is by far the best solution for Last.FM scrobbling on the mac currently. The application is eligant and features unique features to ensure your likes are synced across iTunes and Last.FM in a way the official application from Last.FM cannot. Brilliant application for music lovers and WELL worth the asking price! Thanks again.
For a heavy iTunes/Last.fm user, this is the perfect app. Removes the need for the site’s scrobbling app which is clunky and far outdated, and replaces it with a sleek, heavily useful (great iTunes controller) app that sits quietly, and out of the way in the menu bar, scrobbles better than the official app, and has some amazing functionality it adds to iTunes. Thank you so much for creating this app!
Best replacement for the useless Last.fm scrobbler ★★★★★
Works like a charm ★★★★★
The Last.fm scrobbler is rubbish, to put it nicely. It’s support for scrobbling streamed music of any sort was virtually non-existent, and looked like it wasn’t getting updates any time soon. Enter NepTunes. It just works. Scrobbles your tracks with no dramas, doesn’t matter if it’s in your local library, Apple Music, whatever.
Works beautifully, for both songs and stations, and the added integration between Last.fm and Apple Music in the latest update is a very nice bonus. Feels great to be able to give an unequivocably positive review!
A scrobbler that works. Finally! ★★★★★
Just works! ★★★★★
Does NepTunes support offline scrobbling?
Yep! Like a champ from version 1.0. Don't know what version you have? Go to the Applications folder on your Mac, select NepTunes and choose "Get Info" from File menu.
When NepTunes scrobbles a track?
By default after listening at least half of the duration of the track. But you can change it in Preferences.
Does NepTunes support scrobbling from devices?
Well no, and I don't have plans to implement this kind of functionality. There is a reason why it's so buggy in official Last.fm client - it's super hard to make it. Imagine iTunes, connected to cloud where devices remotely updates library with no support from Apple, which means that it can broke after any iTunes or OS X update. That's why I don't want to touch it. It wouldn't be reliable. But... I'm going to create NepTunes for iOS. Stay tuned.
I'm listening music from iTunes, I've launched NepTunes and it doesn't see any track. Why?
I can't log in with my Last.fm credentials.
Does NepTunes scrobble Beats 1 (or any Internet radio)?
It would be nice to have shuffle/repeat button on music controller
Overlay with controls on cover is gray, not transparent like on screenshots.
I didn't found answer here or I've found a bug in NepTunes.
